As always, downtown Tulsa provides the perfect backdrop for senior pics. This session with Lydia was no exception!
Lydia is on my spokesmodel team, which means she gets to have multiple sessions throughout her senior year. I'm SO excited to work with her the rest of the year because she absolutely killed her first sesh!
Look at that dress!
Look at those shoes!
Look at that HAIR!!!
Flawless.
(Shout out to my makeup artist, Lindsay with Gemini Glam Squad, who did Lydia's makeup for this one! She's MAGICAL and available to book with any of my sessions!)
Everyone knows this location by now - 3rd and Boston, in front of the 320 Boston building. It's one of the most iconic Tulsa backgrounds for senior pics, cap & gown shots, family pictures, engagement photos...all of the things!
And for good reason!
The lighting here is almost always fantastic because there are rarely harsh shadows (just don't come around noon!), the building itself is light colored with gorgeous brass accents. Everything about its architecture screams typical downtown Tulsa, both elegant and timeless, both modern and classic.
If you come here during business hours, be careful not to block the doorways or sidewalks because it's full of working businesses.
Plus, that one security guard will stand RIGHT in your way.
IYKYK
And we couldn't be downtown without the staple middle-of-the-street Boston Ave shot.
Traffic in the evenings isn't too bad because the workforce has gone home, and you are more apt to see another photographer in the road than a lot of cars.
If you're having a friend take your photos, tell them the trick to downtown shots is for them to get low to the ground and shoot upwards. It will show off the skyline as well as making you look tallllll.
If you're looking for a senior portraits photographer and want to shoot either downtown Tulsa or in the surrounding area (Broken Arrow, Jenks, Owasso, Claremore, etc), hit me up! I'd absolutely love to work with you.
I specialize in creative portraiture with a focus on a candid, authentic, cinematic style.
I promise never to pose you leaning on a tree.
Unless it's an awesome, vibey tree.
Obviously.
